Track Categories

The track category is the heading under which your abstract will be reviewed and later published in the conference printed matters if accepted. During the submission process, you will be asked to select one track category for your abstract.

Cardiology is a medical domain and an outlet of internal medicine associated with heart and the circulatory system. It deals with the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of heart conditions. Individuals qualified in Cardiology are called Cardiologists. Pediatricians specialized in Cardiology are Paediatric Cardiologists. Physicians specialized in surgery are called Cardiac Surgeons. Their roles differ depending on the type of heart conditions.

When the heart fails to function normally, it leads to various heart disorders like hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, coronary artery disease, cardiac arrest, congenital heart defects, etc. Many disorders involve the heart while some are found in the vascular system as well.

Cardiovascular diseases are conditions which involves narrowed or blocked blood vessels which can lead to many forms of heart diseases. The symptoms of these diseases depend upon the type of heart disease and it may differ for men and women. Some cardiovascular diseases are inherited. Genes can pass on the risk of cardiovascular diseases in families. The other types of cardiovascular diseases are caused due to environmental factors. These types of diseases can be prevented by making changes in an individual's lifestyle.

Pediatric Cardiology is a branch of medicine dealing with the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to heart diseases in infants and neonates. Pediatric cardiologists broadly treat congenital heart disease, arrhythmias and disturbances of circulatory function in children.

Interventional Cardiology, a sub field of Cardiology includes catheter-based, invasive therapeutic approach for heart diseases. Interventional Cardiologists are specialized in both diagnosis and treatment of various heart and cardiovascular diseases with the use of catheters. Different types of Interventional procedures include: Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Stenting, etc. The main advantages of interventional cardiology procedures are avoids scares, less pain, etc.

Hypertension is a simple medical term where there is a continuous increase in blood pressure as the blood exerts high pressure onto the walls. The symptoms of high blood pressure might be a headache, fatigue, chest pain, etc. In simple words, Hypertension is known as High Blood Pressure. It can sometimes lead to serious complications which increases the risk of heart failure.

One of the sub-specialities of the diagnostic radiography is the Cardiaovascular Imaging. The major duty of the cardiovascular radiologist is to perform tests and to diagnose the diseases such as the leaking heart valves, deformities in shape and size of heart, etc. Giving the increasing use of these non-invasive modalities to diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases, the radiologists must be familiar with those techniques.

Cardio-oncology refers to the branch of cardiology dealing prevention or treatment of heart complications due to cancer treatment. Cardio-oncology specialists are oncologists and cardiologists.

The surgical operations performed on the heart is called cardiac surgery. It is also known as cardiovascular surgery. A surgery is recommended only under life-threatening conditions. The main purpose of cardiac surgery is to increase the lifespan of the patient by improving the function of heart. These operations are performed by cardiac or cardiothoracic surgeons.

Cardiac Transplantation has been a common therapeutic solution for individuals with higher risk or end-stage heart failure. It is a process of replacing an ailing heart with a healthy heart. A healthy heart is received from a donor.

When the efficiency of the heart reduces thereby resulting in the decreased supply of blood and oxygen throughout the body, the condition is known as Heart Failure. The most common causes include Hypertension, Heart attack, coronary artery disease etc. The condition usually gets worse over time, however the treatment methods based on proper diagnosis can help us feel better and live longer.

The rate of heart failure is comparatively lower in women than men. However, cardiovascular diseases continue to be the leading cause of female mortality in many places. Sex-specific data has shown a slight increase in the risk of heart diseases in women. This data therefore can provide a novel sense to heart health in women.

A case report is generally an evidence associated with several fields of cardiology that examines various issues. Case reports on cardiac disorders have a great significance and help in the development and advancement in therapeutic strategies. These reports also have a recognition of new diseases and treatment options.

Clinical trials are research investigations where people test new treatments, tests or interventions to prevent, detect, treat or manage medical conditions. There are 2 main types of clinical trials:

  • Interventional
  • Observational

Diabetes or high blood glucose levels can damage the heart. It has become a growing concern in the modern generation increasing the risk of many heart diseases like heart failure, stroke, etc. One can lower the risk of heart diseases by simply changing the lifestyle.

Unlike other nursing specialities, the professionals in cardiac nursing requires an understanding of normal cardiac anatomy and physiology. They take care of the critically ill patients and those who are in the recovering stage by performing stress tests, complete health assessments, caring for a patient after any cardiac procedures, or closely monitoring the patient’s heart rate. They also work as a part of a team under direction of a cardiologist.

Pharma Industry is a type of industry where the drugs are discovered, developed, produced and marketed. With the development of new technologies, the pharma industry has taken a great leap. Many cardiac contributions are being tested for its effectiveness by clinical trials.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the major cause of death in Europe and rest of the world. A preventive approach to the CVD is feasible and justified because epidemiologic research has identified several modifiable predisposing lifestyles and personal attributes, that when corrected have been shown to reduce the likelihood of development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases.

Various research advances have donated to expand the results across all areas of Cardiology such as new developments in the treatment of cardiogenic shock, novel stent technology and many more. Simultaneously, it is observed that there is a swift upsurge in the populations of patients with heart disorders. Due to this, the expectations of patients for new advancements also develop. Therefore, future Cardiology world may show a novel approach.
