Dr. Shade Akande(Biography)
Dr. Shade Akande philosophy of Nursing is grounded in quality and excellence in nursing practice with specific interest in the field of Cardiomyopathy. She population of interest being the older adult with heart failure residing in Nursing Homes, in the community, and at Skilled Nursing Facilities. She wealth of knowledge, educational background both international and here in USA, coupled with evidence based research will equip me with delivering outstanding care with positive outcome. She researches into the success of NP led Clinic that was presented at the International Nurse Practitioner Conference in Australia (2002) and at Mayo Clinic (2003) were stepping stone to demonstration of quality care which positively impact the institution and patient alike. She doctoral project focused on identification of patient factors that are associated with re-admission of older heart failure patients from skilled Nursing Facilities within 30 days at Stony Brook University, NY. The significant findings were presented at the 7th National DNP Conference in Nashville, TN in 2014 and also at Stony Brook University Nursing Research day 05/2015, International Academy Cardiology world Congress July 2015 at Vancouver Canada and at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) May 2016 at Florence Italy. As PI and co-investigators in NIH funded and multi-center research, She engage in inquiry that may assist with evidence based practice. She has engaged in both didactic and clinical teaching to Nurse Practitioner students and as mentors to Doctoral of Nursing Practice (DNP) students. As a clinician, She has the expertise, leadership and motivation to successfully contribute to the mission and values of programs and the institution as a whole. She is aware of importance of frequent communication among the project leaders, interdisciplinary team with construction of realistic plan and timeline. She plan to consistently and continually deliver excellent and quality care to the population with increased productivity and positive outcome, to foster unity and dedication to excellence, fostering education and to embrace the concept of continuous performance improvement.

Dr. Vadim Lyubomudrov graduated from Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1982. From 1990 to 2010 he was a director and leading surgeon of Pediatric cardiac surgery department in Children’s Hospital #1 at St, Petersburg. Since 2010 he works as a leading pediatric cardiac surgeon at Kuwait’s Chest Disease Hospital – the only center of the entire country. Works as a moderator for the Russian society of pediatric cardiac surgeons. A longtime member of EACTS and ECHSA.

Dr. Ellahham is a Board-certified internist, cardiologist and vascular medicine senior consultant and continues to care for patients. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and his M.D. from the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Ellahham did his fellowship in Cardiology at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in USA. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Ellahham worked in Washington DC in several clinical and leadership positions before moving to UAE in 2008. He led the First AHA GWTG Heart Failure Initiative outside US and was the recipient of the AHA GWTG Award in Wash. DC. He is the champion of the AHA GWTG in the region. Dr. Ellahham continues to be an active clinician. He is board certified in internal medicine, vascular medicine, cardiology and quality. He was recently recertified in 2017 by the American Board of Cardiology (ABIM). He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and key member in Heart Failure and Transplant, Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology, Cardio-oncology and Peripheral Vascular Disease Sections. He is the Eminent Editor of The Journal of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Therapy. In addition, he serves on the editorial board of American Journal of Medical Quality, Developments in Clinical & Medical Pathology (DCMP), the Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, Telehealth and Medicine Today (TMT), Blockchain journal (BHTY), Medical Science, Open Journal of Cardiatic Research, UPI Journal of Pharmaceutical, Medical and Health Sciences (UPI-JPMHS, Open Access Research in Anatomy, Gerontology & Geriatrics studies and Open Access Journal of Clinical Trials, Hypertension Today Journal and Focus on Hypertension Journal. Dr. Ellahham has served as Chief Quality Officer for SKMC since 2009. In his role, Dr. Ellahham has led the development of a quality and safety program that has been highly successful and visible and has been recognized internationally by a number of awards. As Chief Quality Officer and Global Healthcare Leader, Dr. Ellahham had a focus on ensuring that that implementation of these best practices leads to breakthrough improvements in clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience and risk management.

Dr. Ellahham is an avid researcher; his research includes heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, second victim phenomenon, innovation, digital healthcare solutions, telemedicine, block chain, patient experience and engagement, lean six sigma, safety, bowtie risk management tool and KPI management. He is a recognized world-leader in these fields. He received several research awards including the DuPont Pharmaceuticals Research Award, ACCP 58th Annual Scientific Assembly, Young Investigator Award; the Alfred Soffer Research Award, ACCP 58th Annual Scientific Assembly, Finalist; the First Young Investigator Award 12th, Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, and the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines Award.

Nirmal Kanti Bhattacharjee(Biography)
Dr. Nirmal Kanti Bhattacharjee is a renowned cardiologist of the region having nearly five decades of experience in medical practice. With a brilliance shining his academic career from the very childhood, he graduated from Gauhati Medical College in 1966, standing first with honours in almost all subjects, probably still a University record, and was awarded the University gold medal. Subsequently he did his post-graduate studies at Calcutta and Dibrugarh again standing first in all, followed by a short course of training on echocardiography at AIIMS, New Delhi. He had also undergone refresher training at CMCH, Vellore and courses on Hospital administration at Delhi and Bangalore. He is the recipient of the ‘JagatIndu Memorial Oration Gold Medal’ awarded by the ‘Society of Advanced Studies in Medical sciences’, New Delhi and Fellowship of the College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) India. He was a faculty member of the Indian Society of Health Administrators (ISHA), Bangalore and a resource person of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for the diploma course in community cardiology.

Dr. Bhattacharjee has a special interest in the preventive aspect of heart care and health care which he believes should be one of the major thrust areas for a clinical cardiologist. As he said ‘Treating heart diseases is my profession…but preventing them is my passion!’ He is the Founder-president of the Heart Care Society of Assam, a registered non-profit NGO engaged in creating public awareness on cardio-vascular diseases and their prevention and also Chairman of HOPE foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to the community care in medical and educational field.
